Qualifications

2 to 4 years in M&A, financial analysis, accounting, transaction advisory services, leveraged finance or another similar role;

Undergraduate degree with strong academic record;

Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail;

Knowledge of general M&A process and transactions is helpful;

Ability to connect with our client base of middle market entrepreneurs and business owners;

A positive “can-do” attitude willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding and fast-paced environment;

Results-focused, intense work ethic, sense of urgency, and passion for growing in your role and growing the company overall;

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects;

A high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to work independently;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to present material to the team, clients or investor groups;

Working outside normal business hours at times, whether early or late, as required by client schedules and expectations;

Outgoing personality that enjoys engaging in networking opportunities to professionally represent and grow the Highland brand.
Responsibilities

Opportunity to work on all Highland prospect, client, and internal marketing initiatives
-
Financial statement modeling, valuation, and data analysis
-
Industry research including investor screening, competitive landscape, and M&A activity
-
Calling on different investor groups to learn about their acquisition criteria and if our prospects or clients businesses would be of interest (on a no-name basis)

Collaborate in creation of internal, client, and investor presentation materials

Working with clients on collecting, organizing and analyzing company information within a M&A process
-
Participating in client meetings and Highland marketing events
